ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is not particularly linear. It tends to wander from one place to another depending on what my intuition dictates at any given moment. I'm not trying to illustrate an idea. I'm more interested in experience. Most of my work comes from what lies just underneath the conscious mind. The result is often archetypal and mythological forms. Sometimes these forms are celebratory, sometimes contemplative and sometimes mournful. I get a real sense that there is an integral connection and interdependence between all past and present life (animal, vegetable, mineral) on earth. This idea paves the way for endless discovery. There's nothing that does NOT exist inside that lump of clay. In the end, I leave the results to you, the viewer.
